My
name is Katya, nice to meet you! I'm 14. I'm a member of Kazakhstani Jewish
community. I live in a small town of Kokshetau, and I'm eager to tell
everybody about our community.
Children's Day Center opened in the Hesed "Natan"
the other day. It's a brand new service in our town. The opening was held
in my favourite city park. We received a kind of present from the Hesed - tickets for merry-go-rounds. First we observed the town from the big
dipper, and then we raced on electric vehicles. While the youngest children
were jumping on a trampoline, we had rest under old pine-trees.
Also we have Torah lessons with the Hesed "Natan"
religious program coordinator Volodya Marufenin. I guess he prepares thoroughly
to the lessons, because there's no question he can't answer. I know about
five Torah books and the Temples built by our ancestors. What I remember
the best is the mobile Temple used when Jews lived in a desert.
It's not that I just like the Day Center - it impresses me
greatly! It seems to make me grow up!
