Children's Day Center continues its work in Petropavlovsk.
In a short period of time children-participants became friends, learned
to respect each other.
Hesed "Efraim" workers and the representatives of
Jewish community center of Petropavlosk try to make every day of the Center's
life unforgettable. Children meet with interesting people; they are involved
in literary and musical evenings, watch plays.
Recently Children's Center was delivered a lecture named "Tolerance-
lessons of Holocaust". Lessons were conducted by Tamara Rodnaya,
a teacher of history from school ¹ 43. From her stories children learned
that in Hebrew "Holocaust" means "annihilation", a
genocide of Nazi regime towards Jewish people. Constant and cruel annihilation
of 6 million Jewish people by Nazi is considered to be the greatest crime
in the world history. Every 2 Jews of 3 were killed.
Grown-ups were also actively involved in the discussion. Due
to lector's skill to highlight the material the participants of the Children's
Center vividly apprehended the history of Holocaust. Children told that
they would do their best for no nation ever suffer from discrimination
on national or religious sign.
