Dear readers of www.mitsva.kz! We are glad to inform you that on our site created new rubric, devoted to history of Jews in Kazakhstan, rubric for those who are interested in Jewish Community in RK and it’s past.
Authors of the rubric are the historical club of "Mitsva" Association, which deals with history of Jews in our region for more than 10 years. During this time two International Scientific Conferences "Jews in Kazakhstan: history culture religion" were conducted, published 2 books 3 collections of articles, created archive based on Republican Jewish Library.
- Nowadays Jewish history interests not only Jews themselves - said Tatiana Zhilkina, one of the leaders of Historical club - and this interest is rather explainable. Western civilization tries to see in Judaic key to it’s own cultural civilization cradles, states of post soviet area fill the gaps of their past.
By the authors’ idea, new department on a site will become a place where people, dealing with learning the past of Jewish Nation, will be able to publish new works, make public their thoughts, offer for discussion the interesting issue, find like minded persons, followers, or opponents.
"History" rubric, is interesting also because it is the lone interactive department of site www.mitsva.kz. Authors of the rubric deliberately created it as offline forum, giving by this way an opportunity for each reader to express his opinion. The only thing which will be weed out by the workers of site is nonnormative lexica, and deliberate try to sow the religious, national, social discord.
The strong side of "History" rubric is the fact, that to become an author or participate in survey may become a person, living Kazakhstan and also being hundred of kilometers far from steppes of BetpakDala.
Reconstruction of the past appeared not an easy action – tells Isaac Grinberg about one more reason of historical forum creation on www.mitsva.kz. – Sometimes it is impossible to find elementary information about people which occupied important position in republic not so long ago. To use the assistance of relatives and colleagues is also difficult because majority of them settled down abroad. We hope that it would be easier for us to overpass the distance separating us. High professional level of works on history of Jews in Kazakhstan is evidence of the fact that team dealing with the issue managed to raise on qualifiedly new stage in searching the chosen theme. As investigations of genealogy positively influence on self identification of Jews so we can look at future of the department "History" with certainty.
