Grand opening of the synagogue, reconstructed on Jewish maecenas’s money took place in Sumy (Ukraine). By the invitation of Jewish Community in Ukraine Alexander Baron, president of Association of Jewish National Organizations in RK "Mitsva", Alexander Baron, attended at the ceremony of opening. Also representatives of Jewish Communities from Japan, Australia, New Zealand, France, Azerbaijan and other countries participated in the holiday.
After the solemn ceremony of opening, with presence of town authority, mezuzah was attached at the door case. The holiday continued with bringing of the Holy scroll of Torah into the synagogue.
