The coordinator of a service "Hesed on wheels" Vera Goncharova was on business trip in cities Dzeskazgan, Satpaev, villages Dzeskazgan and Vesovaya. Together with the chief of the program "Jewish tradition" Anna Popova visited the clients of Hesed, elderly and lonely members of the Jewish community, found out about problems, health, what do they require. She told about work of Hesed, distributed Jewish newspapers, magazines, medicine.
Then the representatives of Hesed have set off to the House of the invalids. There they got acquainted with new client Moses Yannikov - lonely invalid. When Moses has found out that he since the last year is searched by welfare Jewish organization, he was pleasantly surprised.
- Is it possible that somebody still remembers me?! – said Moses Yannikov.
And when the representatives of Hesed have transferred him small gift set and Matza, he burst into tears and thanked community. Also he was given the Jewish calendar, newspapers and magazines. Through a service "Hesed on Wheels" Moses asked to find his relatives, which lived in Alapaevsk city earlier.
There, in the House of the invalid, Vera Goncharova and Anna Popova visited one more client of Hesed "Miriam" - Igor Kanevsky. Igor some years ago was brought from Temirtau after death of his mum. On imprudence Igor has lost both his hands, and in March of this year his leg was also amputated.
Igor knew about arrival of the representatives of Hesed and very much waited for meeting. Both women for a long time became his kind friends. But when the man has seen, that to him have brought also wheelchair, could not constrain the emotions, which have overflowed heart: "Vasilyevna, you have brought to me legs, whether you understand it or not!". Igor was also given the newspapers and magazines and gift set, Matza. Both invalids intimately thank the American Jewish distribution committee "Joint", without which there would not be today in Kazakhstan such remarkable and necessary organization as Hesed.
During business trip Vera Goncharova also visited a settlement Dzeskazgan, where is located family House of childhood. In this house the young client of Hesed "Miriam" Volodya Kuprin lives (his parents died). Then, Vera met the clients in Satpayev, villages Dzeskazgan and Vesovaya. Everywhere there was a hospitable reception, the people told about the needs, recollected those heavy times, which they managed to be survive due to Hesed.
