The visitor of Hesed "Rachel" became the scientist - historian living and working in Omsk, participant of two international scientific conferences "Jews in Kazakhstan: a history, religion, culture" Michael Savinykh.
The collective of Hesed told to the visitor about work spent by community in the field of a reconstruction of a historical picture of life of Jews of East Kazakhstan at 19-20 century, and then has organized for Michael the small excursion which has acquainted him with work of local Hesed and Community Centre.
In turn historian, in a mark of gratitude, presented the Jewish library in Pavlodar book "Legislative policy of the Russian autocracy concerning the Jews in second half 19 - beginning 20 centuries". In the book the processes of formation of legislative policy of the Russian autocracy are considered concerning the Jewish population of the country, and also reason of an aggravation so-called of "Jewish question", evolution of legislative actions of the Supreme authority with the purpose of its sanction.
Given book and the meeting with Michael Savinykh for the Jewish community Pavlodar became one more step in work local of extemporaneous Historical club. The people have had an opportunity not only to communicate to the adherent, but also have received some practical recommendations for study of the archival documents and tax of the additional items of information.
