Seventh on the account Community Festival of Jewish Book has started in Petropavlovsk. The festival passed in a building of Assembly of Nations of Kazakhstan, in a cozy, beautiful hall decorated with the Jewish attributes.
Besides magnificent exhibition of the books, from fund of the Jewish library of Kazakhstan, Hesed "Ephraim" this year for the first time made "Shabbat table". Scroll of Torah and ritual accessory caused huge interest of the visitors of a festival, TV and MASS-MEDIA.
The lecture about Joseph Flaviy to the participants of CFJB was read by the professor Joseph Lubushin, teacher of Northern Kazakhstan State University. And information on creation of our compatriot left some years ago in Israel, poet and writer Alexandr Steinberg, have prepared the senior scientific employee of museum association Irina Matveeva.
Program of a festival also included evening of the Jewish music. These were songs in performance of groups"Shalom", "Hatihot", young soloist Pasha Rogachev, Kate Bushina.
Having treated dishes of the Jewish cuisine - paste from a liver and forshmak prepared by Luba Levkovitch and Valya Ivanova - the pleased visitors missed on houses. The common opinion - each year CFJB becomes more interesting and more substantial. And evening on two Petropavlovsk TV channels (MTRC and Esil) the Jewish community of area could see the information on this remarkable holiday. Ahead are still meeting in a museum of fine art, where to us have prepared an exhibition to 120th anniversary of Abraham Cherkassky.
