Photo exhibition devoted to 90th anniversary of American Jewish Distribution Committee "Joint" finished working in Shymkent. Presentation of the exhibition took place in Shymkent House of Friendship of Nations. During three days the exposition was opened for all comers. Volunteers of Jewish Library in Shymkent told the visitors about what Joint Committee is when and by whom it was created, and on territory of what countries it conducts the charitable wo
rk. Then the exhibition resumed the operation within the precincts of Hesed "Shimon". And again, having become interested in history of Joint Committee residents, respected guests and press began visiting. But now the fathers of the community, people who, unfortunately seldom leave their home independently, could see photos of JDC.
Participants of Jewish Community Center program also visited the exhibition. Volunteers and workers of Hesed told visitors about the history of creation of organization, about activity of "Joint" all over the world and also in Kazakhstan.
