The first centre of Tolerance, interconfessional and international consequence opened in Shymkent. The population of South Kazakhstan region, one of the largest regions of Kazakhstan is more than 2.2 billion people. In Southern Kazakhstan live representatives of 100 people and nationalities.
Initiators of the creation of the centre were authorities of the Southern Kazakhstan region, Committee on Religions Affairs; Youth club "Vera", Fund "Youth for the development of democratic processes" and also youth "Wings" of national cultural centers of the region. As the leader of the club "Vera" Ruslan Abdullin, informed the agency "Interfax Kazakhstan", the main task of the centre its organizers consider the strengthening of the international and interconfessional consequence in a region. The centre plans to conduct marches of the peace and interconfessional consequence, to create the museum and newspaper, create interconfessional villages, and open centers of the spirituality in correctional facilities, to conduct optional courses in schools and colleges. "Education of the population in the spirit of patience to th representatives of another confession will promote the strengthening of stability, friendship, co respect, lowering of threat of religious extremism", - ensures Ruslan Abdullin. |
