In the beginning of this year the master of the Kazakhstan photojournalism, the first photographer of the president of republic Joseph Budnevitch congratulated on anniversary. In January 24 he was 80 years old. To him wished long years of life. "All my essence is reflected in my works, in my photos. A photo - for me is everything. It is my life, my destiny", - the foreman spoke. And in March 11 his life has broken.
Joseph Budnevitch began the creative activity as the non-staff press photographer in the newspaper "Kazakhstan truth". And in April, 1942 has come in the Kazakh telegraphic agency. During all these years, not parting with the camera travelled along the whole Kazakhstan and practically whole world. Budnevitch was a witness of birth of Temirtau, channel Irtysh-Karaganda, Achsaysk polymetal combine in Kentau, Kzyl-Kum of a file in Kzyl-Orda area, removed also development of a virgin soil, and cosmonauts after a landing on Baykonur. In his life there was much everything, it is a lot of the joyful and tragical moments. He with pleasure and nostalgia recollects bygone days, but does not lose taste to the present, and to this day continues to be engaged in favourite business. Today coryphaeus of the Kazakhstan photo works as the first personal photographer of the Head of state.

Budnevitch just was near, has told: do not grieve, I’ll give to you a couple of negatives. You'll show these negatives, do photos and do not speak, that it is mine.
