THE PROMISED MEDICINE

Karaganda 07.08.2007

Karaganda with humanitarian mission was visited by group of the Israeli doctors. In clinics of the city they have examined the patients requiring for an additional consultation, carried out a scientific - practical conference with the local colleagues.

The chief doctor of Horev clinic Roman Barak does not hide, that he is admired with changes occurring in Kazakhstani medicine.

- The mission "Doctors without borders" within ten years works all over the world, - he has informed. - Each month - new country. In Kazakhstan, and in particular in Karaganda, we were before, therefore we can estimate progress. Without any flattery I shall tell: any country on Post soviet space, including Russia, does not develop so successfully, as Kazakhstan.

To estimate a level of local medicine Roman Barak refused:
- The progress is obvious, as well as presence of the qualified experts wishing to raise the level. But we have arrived not to compare, not to give estimation, but really to help. In Astana and Karaganda our seven experts, having refused from excursions, long dinners and other pleasures, have examined one thousand seriously ill patients.

One of the doctors, who the Israeli colleagues will especially like, is awaited by trip to Haifa for improvement of professional skills. One of the patients will set off also to Israel which local physician are not able to help. Who will be this chosen one, is now decided. As has explained Roman Barak, applicants while are two: the child, to which threatens blindness, and woman having the whole complex of serious illnesses.
