In library of Hesed "Miriam" gathered children of different ages, to honour memory of victims of Catastrophe and pay tribute to Heroism of Jewish people. To this theme Karaganda Community Center always pays a lot of attention. The literary conversations devoted to victims of the Holocaust are conducted.
On Day of Catastrophe children and youth lighted funeral candles, watched film about those terrible days. They have heard chilling the blood stories about destinies of the young people, whose youth has burnt out the fascism in concentration camps, whose youth has shot the fascism in Babiy Yar, whose youth suppressed fascism in gas chambers of camps of death. During the story of the librarian Larissa Brodskaya in a hall there was such silence, that it seemed there was no a soul. The guys listened breathless.
"It is impossible to bury in oblivion the Catastrophe. And as more we shall speak about these terrible years, as more amount of people will know about horrors of the Holocaust, as more humane will be the attitude to each other at all living on this ground" - children summed up the evening.
