In seventh time in Northern Kazakhstan started CFJB - Community Festival of Jewish Book, becoming in city habitual and expected. Already in the beginning of September Petropavlovsk dwellers called in Hesed "Ephraim" and were interested in, where, when will pass a festival. And as usually, the organizers worried. Decorating a hall of Small assembly of Nations of Kazakhstan, thought, whether it will be filled with the spectators?
Group of volunteers - Luba Levkovitch, Valya Ivanova, Ludmila Feshina, Ruzya Linkov, Klara Pilsak, Nadia Bykova, on the eve were engaged in cooking of dishes of national cuisine for an entertainment of the guests these were liver paste, forshmak, strudels, gefilte fish, as this little table always causes the special interest.
To the time of the beginning of a holiday the hall was filled so, that children set on knees. Before the concert program all with interest examined an exhibition of the books from fund of the Jewish library of Petropavlovsk, and also the colorfully made out tables with attributes for Rosh-ha-Shana and Sukkoth, and volunteers of Hesed told to interested people about essence of each holiday.
Petropavlovsk MASS-MEDIA unanimously noted that for them it was surprising that children and adults - from 5 till 73 years old participate also in the concert program. Among the visitors there were representatives of the national-cultural centers (Polish, German, Armenian, etc.), the ambassador of Republic of Tajikistan in Kazakhstan, and pleases, that except for the members of the Jewish community, there were many inhabitants of Petropavlovsk. It means that our holiday causes interest in a public, and that is the purpose of its realization. As always, the professor SKGU Lubushin, told about creation of Byalik pleased us by interesting lecture.
The concert program was opened by ensemble of the violinists "Kvinta". Then all were pleased with the smallest actors of group "Barvazon" - Anastacia Voevutko, Pavel Rogachev, Daniel Denisov. Prepared concert numbers and winners of a festival "Freilehe Kinder" - Ivan Usatov, Marina Anyukhovskaya and Ekaterina Kubakayeva, veterans songs - group "Shalom" and dancing collectives - "Prima Vera", children of Sunday school with Jewish, Hasidi and Kazakh dances. The special interest and revival in a hall caused original quiz on knowledge of the Jewish authors prepared by the members of youth club Julia and Victoria Galitskis.
But on it CFJB was not finished. Ahead is visiting of a museum of fine arts with lecture about creation of Mark Chagall and traditional trip to distant areas - Sergeevka and Timiryazevo. Also it gives the representatives of Hesed an opportunity to visit the Jewish families living in area, to tell news, to listen to problems and to conduct Shabbat. In a kind way, CFJB!
