December 8-10 in Kazan were held two important measures of Jewry of Eurasia: session of General Board of the Euroasian Jewish Congress (EAJC), on which gathered Jewish leaders of all countries of CIS, Japan, Mongolia, Bulgaria, Georgia, and III a report-elective conference of a Federal Jewish National-cultural autonomy (FJNCA), collected the representatives of 38 regional and local JNCA .

For work of General Board of EAJC and Conference FJNCA the joint session was stipulated, on which acted with greetings first vice-premier of Government of Republic Tatarstan Boris Pavlov, deputy of State Duma Gulnara Sergeeva, head of Commercial and industrial chamber of Tatarstan Shamil Ageev, the representatives of ORT-Russia and Jewish agency. The member of general Board of EAJC Alexander Baron took part in work of session.

In the statements the leaders of EAJC summed up results of leaving year: Michael Chlenov made political results of activity of a Congress, Joseph Zisels read the program report of a Congress, the vice-president of EAJC Yuri Raskin reported for a course of realization of the project "Development".

The chairman of Trustee Board of FJNCA Alexander Mashkevitch, acting on a conference, noted, that national-cultural autonomy - is unique organization having on the law the right to represent the Jewish people in all state bodies, and called the participants of a Conference to make all for transformation of FJNCA in powerful, mobile, professional and highly effective organization.

The discussion by the members of General Board of EAJC of a number of the important questions devoted to situation of the Jewish communities on a background of global crisis, Antisemitism, xenofobia and violence, problems of the Jewish education) on post Soviet space was held.

Round table "Interreligious dialogues - the way to tolerance" collected orthodox, Catholic and Judaic clerics. The participants of session of general Board of EAJC listened to Haym Chesler, chief of the international Jewish educational program "Limud" for the Russian users, who showed film about first "Limud" in Israel. A. Mashkevitch in the statement emphasized the intention to continue support of this international program and noted the huge personal contribution of Haym Chesler and his Russian colleague Professor M.Chlenov.

The presentation of a film "In struggle you will find the right" was held, which was brought by its author Joseph Begun, famous "refusenik", stayed in the Soviet camps 14 years for Zionists belief and underground forms of teaching Hebrew.

The conference of FJNCA managed to confirm competence and, having overcome the inevitable contradictions, to achieve rallying of the Jewish national-cultural autonomies. Sensation became that the head of the all-Russian Jewish organization for the first time for two decades elected not a muscovite, and man representing a regional Jewish community - the leader of the Jewish national-cultural autonomy of Republic Tatarstan Michael Skoblionok. The conference elected Board of FJNCA and Auditing commission. Structure of Board of FJNCA included 14 men, including the President of FJNCA. The vice-presidents of FJNCA became the President Vaada of Russia Professor Michael Chlenov and Executive director of Association of the Jewish public organizations of Russia (AJCOR) Valery Engel.
