MANY FRUITS AND ALL ARE TASTY

Petropavlovsk 25.01.2008

Shalom! It is writing to you Pasha Rogachev from Petropavlovsk. I want to tell everybody, how we celebrated Tu-bi-Shvat. We, children and mums, and our grandmothers, gathered in Hesed in Sunday of January 20. At first Galina explained us, what the holiday is it - New Year of trees, when it was celebrated for the first time, how it is celebrated, what should be on a table. But before the story she had artfully smiled and told, that we should listen attentively, remember dates, names, events, because after will be quiz with prizes.

After we have learned about Traditions of holiday, we were given 30 minutes, to draw or model something about Tu-bi-Shvat. And Lubov Borisovna, our teacher on drawing, helped everybody. Semen Guretsky and Julia Shavshina thought up one work at halves, but cool - in a cup fly on the wings all fruits, which should be on a holiday. They took the first place. I modeled pomegranates and grapes. Katya Bushina drew a brush of grapes. Vera Horujaya very beautifully drew wheat. Daniel Denisov, he the smallest among us, drew trees with fruits, which grow in Israel.

The guys from the Youth centre all together drew one real picture, as the boy is planting a small tree. All works were remarkable, and we made of them an exhibition, that everyone, who comes in Hesed, could admire them.

At the table we tasted pomegranates, fig, dates, raisin, olives, drunken tea with oatmeal cookies and buns. We sang songs about Tu-bi-Shvat. And then played in different games. It was cool and is cheerful!
