Two CDs were issued in Pavlodar in August - "July 25th" in memory of Isaak Dunayevskiy and Vladimir Vysotskiy, and "Anavim" in honor of the fifth anniversary of the singing group.
Pavlodar Jewish community always leads an active cultural life. Professor Naum Shaffer gives the main inspiration to it. He has a rare talent to see new things in ordinary events, unite eclectic topics in a harmonic presentation. He is doing it so naturally that we are always surprised how we had not seen it before him giving the clue. The mournful black CD "July 25th" is devoted to the two so different composers.
Recently a jubilee concert of singing group Anavim was held in Pavlodar. Guests received a colorful CD with beautiful songs. President of Mitsva Association Alexandr Baron got such a present as well. The CD contains a touching text "From Pavlodar with Love" It was sent by the girls and their supervisor Tatyana Slivinskaya. Alexander Iosifovich always helps young generation, especially the youth engaged in creative activities. We hope that Anavim will sing many more Jewish songs.
