On August 20 in the Pavlodar House of Friendship a jubilee concert of the singing group "Anavim" took place. For five years Elizaveta Daerbayeva, Kseniya Petrova, Polina Engel have been singing for us under the guidance of Tatyana Semenovna Slivinskaya.
In 2005, "Anavim" made its debut at the II Central-Asian Children and Youth Jewish Festival "Freilehe Kinder" with "Mezuza" song by Pavlodar Composer Igor Bulatov at Adolf Artsishevskiy poem "Song of Herbs". Boys from the youth club lead the girls and their supervisor Tatyana Slivinskaya into the concert hall. The audience burst with applauds and the sinning group was being covered with a golden rain of confetti.
Many guests came to congratulate their favorite "Anavim". Some of them came from far away. For in instance, children from Karaganda community came to attend the celebration. They have been friends for many years, met every year at the Festival stage, went together to summer camps, and regularly call each other. Karaganda visitors brought musical congratulations - "Yemen Jews" dance, songs performed by Stella Sukhorukova "Megina" and "Lehaim". Irina Kozhanovskaya, Shemesh Leader, congratulated "Anavim" and wished them continuous success.
Our girls were also congratulated by ethno-cultural teams of our community - the adults from "Teibelah" and a children’s studio "Tapuah". They presented their best performances and said many kind and sincere words. Anatoliy Skorohod, a well-known trumpeter, also performed on stage to congratulate "Anavim". Everybody was delighted to listen to his solo.
Faina Pavlovna Svechinskaya, Chairwoman of the Jewish Ethno-cultural Organization, made a greeting speech. Guys from the Jewish Youth Center recited beautiful poems for the girls. In their turn, the girls presented all guests with a CD with their songs and an album with photos from their performances that had taken place during these five years! Nobody was left without a gift.
At the jubilee concert Anavim performed a song in Kazakh "Zhastar Ani" which it performed at the Youth Festival of a Patriotic Song in 2008 and won the second place. In Yiddish they sang "Bai Mir", "Muzl Tov", and of course our favorite new songs "Kol do odi", "Lah Erushalaim", "Mase Kara", "Sisu ve simhu", "Halleluiah", "Rikud romantic" in Hebrew. Liza Daerbayeva sang solo in the song "Tuva". For the first time the duet of Kseniya Petrova and Polina Engel sang the song "Rega". Another surprise for the audience was the duet of Denis Karapusov and Polina Engel. "Anavim" and Denis Karapusov performed the song "Hit the road Jack". The guests loved it!
There is a saying "a talented person is talented in everything". It is exactly right about our girls! Not only they sing well, they also dance well. We could see that when they performed a joke dance "Mazal".
Now we should say the truth, that all the girls’ wonderful performances and awards are the result of the great work of their supervisor Tatyana Slivinskaya. The kids call her "our second mom"! She made a miracle with ordinary girls. During these five years, they became winners of the Freilehe Kinder Festival and of the XI and XIV Moscow International Festival "Light the Candle!"; every year participate in the festivals of the ethno-cultural organizations of the People Assembly of Kazakhstan. In 2009 the girls received a diploma "The Best Singing Group". And needless to say, they are the most active participants of all our community events and holidays.
The jubilee was celebrated with a concert and then everybody was presented with a surprise - a large cake! Then everybody went for a dancing party during the tour of the Irtysh River on a boat! The next day we went to have a picnic all together.
From the bottom of our hearts we wish the singing group "Anavim" and their leader Tatyana Slivinskaya continuous success!
