Medical program is a Hesed service that provides clients with
free medical consultations and medications.
The medical program coordinator assesses the clients' needs once
in 12 months, checks the services provided in the city hospitals and informs
the clients about them.
Besides for the coordinator the program includes 10 volunteering
doctors in the hospitals (cardiologist, physician, gastroenterologist, oculist,
traumatologist etc).
Hesed "Natan" has made arrangements with the hospitals
for outpatient and in-patient treatment.
One of the forms of medical consultations is calling a doctor to
immobile clients' homes. In other cases the clients are registered for doctors'
consultations by phone.
Round-table lectures and discussions are widely used in the medical
service to provide the clients with complete information about heart, respiratory
or digestive diseases.
There is also a Coronary Patients' Club.
