 For
the first time The Day of Hebrew was presented in the framework of OFEK. This
year OFEK was held at the same time with Rosh-Hodesh, rabbi Yeshaya Cohen showed
the book exhibition at the synagogue together with tradition of this holiday:
blew Shofar, told about Torah - The Holy Book of Jews and about importance
of learning Hebrew.
Yakov Lazarevich Bronshtein, one of the best Hebrew teachers told
about the history of renewal Hebrew - literature and spoken language.
Children sang songs and read poems in Hebrew, the Youth club showed some sketches
in it. The audience really enjoyed it.
That's how OFEK started!
