The Jewish Community Center began working in Ust-Kamenogorsk in
the summer 2000. Jewish community members received an opportunity to know more
about their nation's Tradition, culture, and language.
For several years dozens of communal program were created. For example,
music bands: "Feigalah" children's vocal band, "Esther"
vocal ensemble, youth vocal band, etc. The number of JCC program participants
is constantly growing.
The community celebrates Pesach together, builds huts on Sukkot,
has fun in festivals and holidays.
The JCC is glad to offer you the following programs:

LITERARY MUSICAL SALON -
invites community members once a month for new book presentation.
Every Tuesday Jewish literature lovers gather here. They discuss
new books, Jewish writers, poets, and musicians etc. It is one of the
most interesting communal programs.

FAMILY CLUB - Jewish
home is the basis of the Jewish Tradition. The Jewry is a one big family
scattered all over the world. The family club was made to preserve the
unique feature of Jewish hearth.
The head is Elena Levina.

WOMEN'S CLUB - Women
above 30 visit "Sarah" women's club. They gather twice a moth
to learn more about the Jewish Tradition , literature, history, etc. Usually
their meetings consist of two parts: presentation by an expert in the
history and tradition, and then merry tea drinking and sharing Jewish
receipts.

YOUTH CLUB

CHILDREN'S CREATIVE CENTER -
Children gather in "Feigalah" center every Sunday. The JCC and
Hesed employees and volunteers acquaint them with the Jewish history and
tradition, teach them singing and drawing. Every holiday is accompanied
by an interesting story with illustrations. On Hebrew lessons the children
learn prayer words. They love to sing Jewish songs in Russian and in Hebrew.
Friendly atmosphere helps to disclose their talents.
In charge are Elena Levina, Elena Kuklina, and Alexandra Maslova.

"ESTHER" VOCAL BAND
- sings popular Hebrew and Yiddish songs. The community loves
famous melodies and the singers.
The head is Elena Levina.

JEWISH THEATRE "SEVEN FORTY" -
The theatre was created by the Hesed director Vladimir Lebedev.
In 2002 it participated in the International Jewish Theatre Festival in
Moscow with I. Sprits's play "Severed Branch".
The nest staging "Colomon Shklyar's Dance School"
written by Vladimir Lebedev and Igor Shprits was presented in November
2003 with great success.
In February 2003 the theatre received an invitation to the
Leeds International Jewish Theater Festival in June 2004, along with troupes
from Israel, Canada, Australia, and the USA.
