its' activity in May 1992.
The Association is a voluntary union of Jewish Organization of Kazakhstan. "Mitsva"
is a coordinator of the organizations' activity in free & comprehensive
development of Jews as an ethnos.
The basic goal of the organization is revival & development of Jewish culture
& traditions in the Diaspora of Kazakhstan.
The members of the Managing Board are well-known figures of Jewish Diaspora
& also the directors of the organizations that form "Mitsva" Association.
The President of "Mitsva" Association is Mr. Alexandr Baron.
| Basic directions of the Association's activity: |
- making posssible for the Jews who live in Kazakhstan to understand
national, religious & cultural consciousness;
- organization of cultural & educational events;
- revival of national customs, traditions & popular crafts of Jewish
people;
- joining of Jews to the mental & cultural wealth of Kazakh &
other peoples of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- solving the problems of harmonization of international relations;
- representing of interests of Jewish population in the Assambly of
Kazakhstanian peoples;
- solving the problems of cooperation of Kazakhstanian Jews with state
& public organisations;
- protection of rights, honour & national dignity, opposition to
anti-Semitism & racism in all forms & manifistations;
- charitable activity.
