"Out of the mouth of the babe's and suckling…"
a sage said. With the reference to our situation we can paraphrase this
statement - the real reflection of cultural traditions can be done through
children's attitude.
The Honored worker of the culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
Isaak Popov commented that among the competitors of the Festival of Children's
Art it is dead certain that the new stars of the World Jewish culture
will be found.
And they have been found! And it is does not matter who performed
better or worse. Every child is gifted by nature. Some of children are
good at drawing, the others - in singing. It is important that children
showed their knowledge of Jewish culture and traditions.
All children, participating in the Festival, are the pupils
of Jewish Children Art Center under the direction of Oxana Babina. They
can play the piano, they can dance, declaim the poetry of the famous Jewish
authors in Russian and Hebrew.
Misha Rabinovich tremendously played "The New Jewish
Song". The public was really impressed by his performance. Who knows,
probably one day Misha will achieve an international recognition, outshine
a famous violinist David Oistrah.
The organizers of the festival were: Association of Jewish
National organizations "Mitsva", public fund "Jewish Congress
of Kazakhstan" and Jewish Community Center Almaty.
Participants of the Festival were really happy with the results
of their performance. They are getting ready to a new one. We hope, it
will come soon, very soon.
