The new beautiful building of Jewish
Community Center purchased due to the fact of sponsorship of Jewish Congress
of Kazakhstan, looked very nice. On 28 May Rimon Jewish Community Center
received VIP guests: Alexander Mashkevich - President of Jewish Eurasia
Congress, Robert Veksler US Congressman with spouse, Krifcher Daniel with
spouse and Yeshaya Cohen Head Rabbi of Kazakhstan. Alexander Baron, the
President of "Mitsva" Association presented work program of the
Community Center and then there was a brief concert.
In commemoration of this visit the guests planted saplings of pomegranate
because the word "rimon" can be translated from Hebrew as a "
pomegranate"; and pomegranate symbolizes the unity of Jews all over
the world.
