Mariya Iosifovna Molotova-Luchanskaya is a client of Hesed
Miriam; her native language is Yiddish. And it helped her a lot to choose
a profession. She was born in a family where parents and children spoke
Yiddish. Mariya Iosifovna was born in Priluki Village of Kremenchug Oblast.
In 1936 her parents were arrested and she went to a children's
home. Mariya wanted to become an actress but her dream was not fulfilled.
She traveled all over the Soviet Union and in 1952 she and her mother
moved to Balkhash City.
Mariya started working as a teacher of German at school (German
and Yiddish are very similar) and as a film director. And she worked in
Balkhash TV studio for a long time and made programs about interesting
people.
