Petropavlovsk community members will remember this Shabbat for a long time. We celebrated two holidays at once. The first one was of course Shabbat, and the second was 50th anniversary of the Hesed "Efraim" clients Asafs' marriage.

  As it should be, the "newly married" were standing under a self-made huppah and accepting congratulations.

  "It's a pity that fifty years ago we couldn't get married under huppah in the circle of our community", the "newly married" said.

  Many people came to congratulate them. Greetings of the children's vocal studio "Hatihot" touched both the guests and the couple. The adult's vocal band "Shalom" also joined the congratulation. At the end of the meeting the whole community was singing.

  On behalf of the Jewish Community Center the Asafs were given a nice bunch of flowers and a cake. The couple has lived a long and happy life and has brought up 3 children, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Mazal Tov!
