GUESTS

"Mazal Tov" program and Almaty JCC organized Pesach Seder for "Zusammen" program. Children and their parents from Alatau and Burunday villages were taken to "Rimon" JCC on Hesed busses. They were welcomed with "Hag Pesach Sameach!" and smiles.

The main task was to acquaint the quests with peculiarities of Pesach celebration. That is why first of all they were told a little about the history of Jewish people. Then the children and adults were shown a puppet show about Moshe, the ten plagues, and exodus from Egypt.

After that the families learnt festive songs, and while the parents were acquainted with JCC programs, children were offered to picture Pesach the way they imagined it. They were so much absorbed in drawing that it was impossible to tear them away for two hours.

Story of Pesach continued at the table. The families learnt how to conduct the Seder service correctly. The head of Day Center Tatyana Risman disguised as rabbi Levi Izhak asked the questions of the Seder leader, and the families eagerly answered them.

At parting "Rimon" JCC, Hesed "Polina" and "Mitsva" Association gave each participant a box of matzoh and wished to meet them again. In spite of the long day nobody was tired. Both organizers and the guests were excited and really happy!

We look forward to seeing the families from Alatau and Burunday again!
