The last Sunday the Astana JCC children's club started preparing to Hanukah.
The children were told about the holiday and its significance for the
Jewish people. The children were struck at the fact that the Jews have
celebrated Hanukah for about 2000 years.
 Inspired
with the story about the Maccabee's rebellion and the oil jug the children
started preparing traditional attributes to decorate the Astana Hesed
and JCC on Hanukah.
Some of the children were occupied with drawing the oil jug,
others in modeling the Hanukiah.
In conclusion all the participants received nice Jewish calendars.
