Tov" program congratulated its clients on two holidays - Jerusalem Day
and Children Protection Day. Both these dates are equally interesting for Jewish
children in Kazakhstan. That is why we decided to join the two holidays and make
children a present.
 The
meeting was held on May 30 in Gorky Park. The children made a wonderful trip from
one merry-go-round to another. The gift of AJJDC left nobody indifferent -
children's laughter showed that the festival was a success.
 To
let the children rest from "dizzy joy", we made a picnic under trees.
During the meals a fascinating story of the 6 Day War and Jerusalem Day began.
The children and their parents looked at the pictures of Hakotel, the Old City,
and modern Jerusalem. Then they sang "Jerusalem of Gold" and "Shalom,
Jerusalem" together.
A quiz on the Jewish history and
Tradition was not less pleasant than merry-go-rounds. It was a chance for the
children to compete with the adults on equal terms. For each correct answer quiz
participants were given awards.
The children did not notice
that it was already evening and time to say good-bye. But it won't be for long.
