by the Ministry of Culture, the "Shemesh" JCC "Ot Azoy"
vocal ensemble has taken part in a concert dedicated to the Day of Languages
in Kazakhstan. The concert was held in the President's Palace in Astana.
The ensemble consisting of 3 people was a worthy representative of Jewish
culture and Jewish Diaspora in Kazakhstan.
 "Ot
Azoy" sang two Jewish songs: "Elimeleh" and "Sha-Shtil".
The quick merry melodies left nobody indifferent. The ensemble was greeted
with loud cheers. It was nice to know that such a young band like "Ot
Azoy" was performing equally with eminent singers. According to expert
evaluation the concert was very successful.
One of the songs performed by "Ot Azoy" was included
in a CD "Voice of Friendship" issued specially for the Day of
Languages. At the end of the festival "Ot Azoy" was invited
to participate in other festive events. Let's wish our friends good luck!
