 In
the beginning of 2003 on the seminar for Jewish library employees the
President of "Mitsva" Association Alexandr Baron suggested a
competition for the best project among library programs. The idea was
supported. Two weeks ago the director of the Republican Jewish Library
Eugenia Karyakina received the first letter.
 On
December 4 the committee summarized all the applications. And today www.mitsva.kz
presents the winners.
 Having
read the projects thoroughly the committee gave the first place to the
Karaganda branch of the Republican Jewish library. The second place was
given to the Pavlodar library and the third to Kokshetau.
"It was so nice to see the enthusiasm of the young
Kokshetau library," said the co-chairman of the
committee Ludmila Varshavskaya. "Success of Karaganda and Pavlodar
communities is due to the constant purposeful work of the staff and volunteers,
awareness of the communal life, and individual approach to each client".
