On
Sunday Alla Gafurova, the head of the Kostanay Hesed Library Literature
Club welcomed guests. The subject for the meeting was creative activity
of a poet, writer, and fabulist Abraham Feinberg.
Lidiya Kazakevitch's who used to know Feinberg's family told
the guests about the author. The writer's father was repressed, and he
himself stayed in Leningrad during the war blockade. Feinberg studied
at the Department of Arts Theory and History by correspondence, and in
1954 graduated from the Kazan University's Department of History and Philology.
He worked as a school teacher and then senior research assistant in the
museum.
Today
Abraham Feinberg is a candidate of fine arts critics, assistant professor,
and an honored worker of arts of Tatarstan. He has published about 300
works devoted to arts.
The Hesed librarian Alla Gafurova acquainted the guests with
Feinberg's poems and fables. Then she presented his books "Jewish
Genes", "Jewish Heart", and "Fables". The soiree
finished in a warm atmosphere.
