 A
lecture about tfilin has been given in the Hesed "Natan". The
religious program coordinator Vladimir Marufenin told about the function
of tfilin. The younger generation of Kokshetau community found out that
tfilin looks like dark boxes with black leather straps. Inside them are
four extracts from the Torah written on parchment. According to the Tradition
tfilin has to be made out of calf leather.
Jewish boys after bar mitsva take tfilin to perform the Torah
commandments. They put it on before the morning prayer "Shaharit"
on workdays.
The tfilin commandment is to serve the Most High with
all one's heart and mind.
