This way the librarian Elena Petrova rings round the clients of
Hesed "Rachel" born in the given month. And at the end of the month
all of them gather in Hesed to celebrate their birthdays with their community.
Hesed employees visit those who are unable to come to congratulate
them, wish warm words, and give small presents.
In late May Hesed "Rachel" as usual gathered its clients
for celebration of their birthdays. First there was a lottery. Each participant
had to answer a question or to perform a task written on a card. The questions
were not difficult, but interesting, and the tasks were funny. As a reward everybody
got prizes.
The participants sang songs, told merry stories, and even showed
gymnastic exercises. Of course there was a traditional tea-drinking
with a pie, discussions, recollections, and jokes.
That is the way we, Hesed "Rachel" celebrate birthdays.
We wish everybody "Ad meah vezrim shana!" - "May you live
till 120 years old!"
