| Every year the last Sunday of
May the women's club "Ruth" conducts festive meetings. Are you surprised
at permanency of our excitable, gregarious, changeable womankind? But believe
us there is nothing unusual, just this day our women's club was born.
According
to the founders' words, in a year the "baby" became "enlightened
and reaching for knowledge". However, it is not surprising - as the tree
so the fruit! Today women's club "Ruth" is three years old. What is
happening there, what is the progress? Let's ask the club members, because nobody
but them can answer these questions.
"For the first
time I got to the women's club in a year after opening", says Ludmila
Starodubova. "I couldn't help coming there. "Ruth" radiated
something… something charming unlike all other women's clubs! There a woman opens
like a rosebud. Or rather she is given an opportunity to do it. "Ruth"
is food for thought. Meetings are carried out in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Conversations are not about infantile sickness or culinary receipts, but about
interesting people, their work and life.
In "Ruth"
one can find peace of mind. Our women take musical instruments - and there is
live music. Poetical soirees, conversations about works of Mark Shagal, Leo Kenig,
Meir Akselrod are not rare."
"Are there any age or ethnic
limits?"
"No! Never! You are a woman, you are
interested in what we are doing - this is a password to enter our club. Otherwise
the club would have been outdated the first year. Do you know the name of one
of club activists? Gauhar Dabganova! She is not a Jew at all, but she knows so
much about our history, culture and Tradition that one can't help admiring her.
A
lot of different women come to the club. They discuss, dispute, ask, and answer -
they live a full life. Thinking women is the basic of club's success!"
That's
the way you are, "Ruth"! Live till 120 years! You make us sure that
the Jewish woman will remain the same - strong, smart, faithful, and worthy
of its nation!
