A meeting of the representatives of the Jewish community
with the President of "Mitsva" Association Alexandr Baron was
held in Semipalatinsk. Participants of the meeting were L.B. Shik, E.O.
Asylbek, the director of Ust-Kamenogorsk branch of Hesed "Polina"
V.V. Lebedev, and the coordinator of the "Rimon" JCC children's
programs L. Poltavskaya.
The participants revered Leonid Reznik's memory with one-minute
silence. Because of the death of the head of Semipalatinsk Jewish community,
it was necessary to elect a new leader. This issue was discussed at the
round table.
Thanks to the warm and friendly atmosphere and professionalism
of the participants, the meeting was effective and fruitful. The new community
Council has already began working.
