does not stop in the Taraz branch of the Republican Jewish Library for
a single moment. Meetings in the Library Literature Club have become a
good tradition. People participate in lectures and discussions about famous
Jews who left their trace in art, science, and politics. Such meetings
are always crowded and merry.
Starting from October the Library Literature Club is open
every Tuesday. Ida Bukina invites everybody to mini-lectures
"Famous Jews". The last three meetings were devoted to a famous
French actress Sarah Bernar, a writer and Vladimir Mayakovsky's close
friend Lilya Brick, and a statesman and a politician Lev Trotsky.
