TOGETHER FOREVER
 It
was the first time that Ust-Kamenogorsk JCC held a regional field meeting
of the family club. Community members from Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semipalatinsk
had a chance to rest in "Emerald" rest home, surrounded with fir
trees, birches, and a mountain river.
 Organizers
prepared an interesting and easy program to help the participants study
the Torah and join the Jewish culture.
The first night we celebrated Kabbalat Shabbat. The families
from Semipalatinsk watched and listened very carefully - it was their
first Shabbat ceremony.
 The
next morning we continued getting acquainted with each other. Then we were
divided in two teams for further competitions. They were called "David's
Star" and "The Promised Land". After long and thorough preparation
for the competition, we finally were ready to start.
 There
were questions for knowledge of Jewish history, Tradition, and literature,
and then a competition for the best Jewish anecdote. It was a real fun.
The day finished with a concert - singing, dancing, and joking.
 On
the third day everybody gathered in the Library Literature Club. The subject
of the meeting was our favorite book "Jews Joke". They say:

"Jews joke, therefore they exist.
Jews exist, therefore they joke."

Everything was very nice. We wished each other good luck
when leaving, and now we look forward to meeting again.
