On May 7 Kostanay Hesed organized a celebration in honour of WWII veterans. Children
and the youth prepared a nice concert. They recited war poems and sang war songs.
Boys wore soldier's blouses and forage-caps, and they made them look
more serious. The children were proud for their grandfathers. Though not all of
them realized what the aged had done for their sake (some of the actors were only
5 years old), but they felt the importance of the event.
Each
veteran got a scarlet pink and white paper doves made by the children.
When the songs sounded the veterans joined the children in singing
and it became clear that continuity between generations was inviolable in the
Jewish community. Unity and responsibility for each other runs in our blood.

The concert was concluded with dances. Even those who were hard to
move felt younger and started to dance.
And to those who were unable to come young actors came home on a minibus.
It helped the immobile people to feel the holiday and their importance for the
community.
We wish our veterans to celebrate the Victory Day for many
years with us.
