Volunteers are our support.
Volunteers
are those who provide free-will assistance to the needy without thinking
of their personal time. They are more than 25 in our Hesed. They help us with
everything:
- volunteers congratulate Hesed clients at
home, take active part in organization of celebrations and trips out of town.
Once a week they are on duty in the office.
- during their
duty volunteers ring round the clients, invite them to Hesed to receive their
food packages and to take part in various activities and events.
-
also volunteers take some periodicals and invitations to clients.
All
the volunteers deserve thanks and care. Here are some of them:
1.
Nikolay Skripnichenko is one of the most active volunteers. He participates in
organization of celebrations and excursions for the youth.
2.
Denis Cheredov is our permanent D.J. He provides music for events and holidays.
3.
Exhibitions dedicated to great composers, painters, writers and poets would never
be so interesting without Ludmila Kirshner and Olga Gogoleva.
4.
Ludmila Kirshner teaches in Taraz college. She is a great expert in music and
a great musician. Her lectures are accompanied with piano playing. Our clients
eagerly come to such meetings to find out more about composers and listen to the
music.
5. Olga Gogoleva works in library programs. Being
a librarian in children-youth library she provides assistance in
organization of lectures about painters, writers, and poets. In OFEK 2002 she
presented an exhibition dedicated to Jewish writers and poets.
6.
Doctors: Zuhra Malahaeva (neuropathologist) and Oksana Tsoy (therapist) conduct
medical consultations for Hesed clients in coordination with medical service coordinator
Klara Greenberg.
7. Our youth: Tatyana Dmitrieva (Arts
college student) and Mariya Koroleva (9 grade student) are active participants
of all events conducted by the community center. They perform Jewish dances, sing
songs in Yiddish and in Hebrew. Tatyana and Mariya congratulate immobile clients
at home.
This list can be continued. It is hard to overestimate
our volunteers' help.
We thank them from the bottom of
our heart!
