Finally the long-awaited wonderful summer has come!
Nobody wants to think of study, problems, and cares. Sunshine and sparkling
water overshadow everything.
Summer is a real holiday, especially for the members of the Hesed
"Rachel" youth club. Every day brings something new. Thus, in late
June the youth built their own Western Wall.
"Not everybody will have a chance to visit Israel and see
the Western Wall. Though we hope we will!" - they said.
In response to the question - why they chose the Western Wall, they
said:
"We know a lot about Israel and the history of the Western
Wall from books, Israeli guests' stories, and Jewish mass media. The ancient
stones left from The Temple are sacred for every Jew. The most important national
events are presented there. Soldiers swear in the square before the Wall, and
on Friday Shabbat is celebrated there. We have built our own Wall to feel united
with our people!"
