Jewish community is getting prepared to the New Year of Trees. Unfortunately
Kazakhstan climate in this season does not allow planting trees in parks
and gardens. That is why on Tu B'Shevat we plant a date stone or lemon
cutting in a flowerpot.
 In
her telephone interview to our web site reporter the director of "Alia"
cultural center Lubov Orynbaeva said that this year Tu B'Shevat celebration
is planned in the city music academy. The academy teacher Anna Asanova,
a member of the Atyrau Jewish community has prepared a mini-review
of musical compositions by Jewish authors.
Children's dance group consisting of 12 children is also invited
to the celebration. The music will be provided by a pianist Grigory Danevitch.
