 On
February 6 Pavlodar Jews celebrated Tu B'Shevat in the Hesed "Rachel".
 The
day before the Day Center members prepared saplings and filled flowerpots
with soil. Friday morning the children brought them to Homecare clients.
People of different ages gathered in the Hesed "Rachel"
to celebrate Tu B'Shevat. Women brought indoor plant sprouts as a gift
to the Hesed and JCC. The children and youth eagerly helped to plant them.
After the blessing over fruits was read, the Hesed director
told about the Tu B'Shevat customs. Then an interesting quiz was held.
It was difficult to find the best expert in the Jewish history, so everybody
received presents.
