 Mournful
ceremony in memory of Holocaust victims was held in the Embassy of Israel
in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Jewish leaders and members of Kazakhstan
Jewish community came to revere the memory of six million Jews perished
during Holocaust.
The Ambassador of Israel in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Moshe
Kamhi, the consul of Israel in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan Dan Meiri, chief
rabbi of Kazakhstan Yeshaya Kohen, the head of JAFI in Kazakhstan Shlomo
Azarov, and the President of "Mitsva" Association Alexandr Baron
spoke before the audience.
The ceremony finished with Mr. Kamhi's lighting a mournful
candle and one minute silence in memory of the Nazi victims.
Holocaust devoted activities will be held in Almaty
till the weekend. "Mitsva" Association presents mournful meeting
on April 21 in "Rimon" JCC. A lecture "Anna Frank's Diary"
will be held for "Osher" children's creative center on Sunday.
