"Jewish community" photo exhibition by Vladimir Semchuk has been finished at Hesed "Polina". Despite some years ago Vladimir has left Almaty, his works continue to warm hearts of his admirers.

   About 400 people visited that exhibition. Among them there was Eni Faleomavaega, the US Congressman; representatives of Jewish communities of Poland, Japan, Mongolia; Euro-Asian Jewish Congress members; guests and clients of Hesed "Polina".

   Vladimir Semchuk is not an ordinary person. First of all, like independent artists, he makes his photos just for the good of his soul. Secondly, since 1998, 95 per cent of all the events of Jewish life of Almaty community center "Rimon" and Hesed "Polina" are captured in photos or on videotape exactly by him. Thirdly, it's hard to take one's eyes off his works, like there is a little magnet hidden there.

   We are looking forward for meeting with Vladimir and his pictures.
