International violinist contest "Eurasia-2004" was held in Almaty.
Musicians from more than 10 countries of the world, including Japan, Germany,
Finland and Korea took part in the contest. Among honored guests was a
famous violinist, in honor of whom was called Musical Academy in Japan,
Zahar Bron (Germany) and a well-known band-master Pavel Tarasevitch.
State ensemble of classical music "Kamerata of Kazakhstan"
gladdened its listeners with art. Anna Sailyantz, a JCC teacher of music
lead the contest.
There were also a number of representatives of Jewish community
in Almaty among the listeners. Invitation tickets, given by organizers
to the community, were a desirable present for Hesed "Polina"
volunteers and members of community center clubs.
