A 2-day seminar "Volunteer is a basis of the community" was started in "Nauriz" sanatorium. The seminar was attended by 32 volunteer of Hesed "Polina" Jewish Welfare organization.

  The seminar opened a psychological training, conducted by Hesed "Polina" director Natalya Dorman. Volunteers told compliments to each other, tried to imagine these or those people when they were 5 years old, chose animal they liked best, told warm wishes in the address of all seminar participants.

  "It's amazing, how open, hearty and romantic are our volunteers!" Natalya Dorman shared her impressions with a smile on her face.

  Besides work with psychologist, the program of a discussion concerning Hesed work peculiarities included the exchange of experience, Shabbat meeting. Also the following lectures will be organized for volunteers: "Communication is the basis of volunteer's work", "Communication peculiarities", "Peculiarities of work with old people", "Volunteers is Hesed's soul and basis".

  "Why so much time is devoted the questions of communication?" we ask the Hesed "Polina" director.

  "Because exactly those people more often become a link between us, Hesed workers, and the community. Being the most fair judges of the organization's activity they help us to understand better needs of our clients", Natalya Dorman explains the choice of seminar program.

  In the course of study, seminar participants will also have a possibility to improve their health. Walks on fresh air, fitotea, good nourishment could help volunteers to gain energy for their further work. The sponsor of the seminar for volunteers became JDC.
