A presentation of a book by Alla Zuskina-Perelman "A trip of Veniamin the Third", devoted to her father, a great Jewish actor Veniamin Lvovitch Zuskin, was held in a literary hall of Hesed "Polina". The evening was prepared and conducted by Lubov Koretskaya, a Jewish Republican library volunteer. We asked an inspirer of the passed presentation why was chosen exactly that work:

   "The book impressed me greatly. I just couldn't help feeling love, respect and admiration of a talent and a greatness of Veniamin Zuskin's soul. The roles, that he played - a buffoon, a witch, a Gotsmah… there are more than 40 of them - stroke the contemporaries with its perfection, depth of penetration into the essence of hero's character".

   Nor less important feature of the book is that Alla Zuskina-Perelman tells about private life of her father, mother, about friendship between Zuskin and Mihoels, about their wonderful creative duet with touchy tenderness. The documents connecting with arrests and examinations in court, describing in the book left a strong impression and a mental anguish.

  In the eyes of participants of the meeting I could see that I evoked their interest towards the book. And this meant that we could say with proudness that the presentation was a success.
