"Mazl Tov" program members visited Jewish Republican library in the framework of Almaty Jewish Book Community Festival.

   Evgeniya Karyakina, a library director acquainted parents with a book fund and she held a presentation of a stand "Children's writers" for children. Having seen various bright books children were in great delight. Evgeniya Borisovna let children to take from the shelf any book they liked. Mazl Tov members observed the book area with a sincere interest. They especially liked "A scroll of Ester" in a colored pasteboard case.

   Further Evgenia Borisovna held a story hour. Everybody was listening to Regina Neer's fairy tale, Hasid parables and poems recited by Renata Muchina. At the end of the meeting children played games based on children's fairy tales.

  Thanks to hospitality of library mistress, parents could take books not only for children, but for themselves as well. A warm atmosphere brought the participants of the meeting together.

  "We'll come here again with great pleasure!" parents told, having been touched with attention payed to their children from the side of library workers and volunteers.

  Nobody wanted to leave, though parting was not going to last long - the next week children would gather again for Shabbat meeting.
