At the end of December JDC and "Mitsva" Association successfully held a seminar "Volunteer is a basis of the community" in "Nauriz" sanatorium, situated near Almaty. The seminar was attended by 32 volunteer of Hesed "Polina" Jewish Welfare organization.

  Communication is the basis of volunteer work. Exactly that theme - a skill of communication with every community member, independently of his/her age, social status, interests - was the theme of the seminar. The study was organized in a form of play trainings, conducted by Natalya Dorman, Irina Zaltsman, Galina Lipker and Inna Enina.

   On Friday seminar participants met Shabbat all together. Then they sang songs, took part in quizzes. Maina Kabirova, one of Hesed "Polina" volunteers, recited a poem devoted to the seminar.

  Volunteers said a lot of warm words in the address of sponsors - JDC and "Mitsva" Association - for their possibility of study, spending several days out of the city and getting acquainted with new people.
