  Almost 40 person met holiday in a comfortable and hospitable Hesed "Polina" hall. On September 16 members of the Day center together with Jews from all over the world were listening to solemn and at the same time alarming, cheerful and sad sounds of Shofar.


   A holiday table with fish head in the center was laid in the guest room of Hesed in Almaty. There were also all traditional Rosh-Ha-Shannah dishes on the table: granate, apples, honey and pumpkin…


   "Retro - 7-40" club performed a funny play "Near the river". Club members told the Day Center a bout Jewish New Year Tradition and wished all of them to be put into the book of life.


   Holiday meeting ended in the performance of "Nehama" ensemble which from a small brook turned into a big loud-voiced river of Jewish songs.
